Top Sessions at Oracle OpenWorld 2019

With this session guide, you'll be sure you're attending the hottest sessions at OOW19!

Oracle Open World is just around the corner and with over 1,000 sessions, we thought we would help by collating the sessions we are excited about. If like us, you are interested in EBS mobilization, digital assistants, Oracle Forms modernization, and Cloud enablement we thought we’d share with you the sessions you won’t want to miss.

So without further ado here is a list of our most recommended sessions:

We, of course, need to begin with our own CEO Mia Urman, but truth be told if you have ever attended one of her sessions she is objectively quite great. She will be presenting two of her greatest hits:

1- Real-World Digital Assistant Case Studies (CAS3063) by Mia Urman, CEO, AuraPlayer USA Inc.  We are proud to represent the ODTUG user group by presenting this session. We were even prouder to have partnered with them at the annual Kscope conference where we created a chatbot for the 4,000 attendees to help navigate through the event. In this session, Mia will focus on 3 real-world digital assistants and teach the “secret recipe” for designing, developing and deploying next-generation digital assistants. Hear how we have leveraged Oracle Digital Assistant to give back-office applications the voice they deserve in natural language – and most importantly, see how you can bring your own applications to the next level.

2- Modernizing User Experience for Oracle E-Business Suite – Customer Stories (CAS2718) by Mia Urman, CEO, AuraPlayer USA Inc. and Shay Shmeltzer, Director of Product Management, Oracle. This session will provide feasible solutions to create an improved mobile/web UX for Oracle E-Business Suite applications. You’ll learn about the various options available, how to select development tools, and how to implement connectivity through real-world use cases.

Next, we are thrilled to see a session dedicated to Oracle Forms cloud innovations. Michael Ferrante the Oracle PM has been hard at work innovating our tried and true development tool and this session will give you a sneak peek into what’s to come – YES there are many new versions:

3- Oracle Forms: What’s New and What’s Cloud (BOF6279) by Michael Ferrante, Product Manager, Oracle.  This is a BOF session where you leave knowing the new features in Oracle Forms and how you can leverage the cloud to develop to run your Oracle Forms applications. His session will include demos and an open discussion.

4- Top Design Tips for Building Great Digital Assistants and Chatbots (THT5634) by Grant Ronald, Director of Product Management, OracleHe will present best practices, tips & tricks, and pitfalls that can occur when building a digital assistant. After his session, building a successful chatbot will become second nature. If you are interested in Chatbots, we suggest you also attend the following hands on sessions:

5- Getting Hands on with Oracle Digital Assistant Conversation Designer (HOL5640) by Joe Huang, GTM Product Management, Oracle Digital Assistant, Oracle Eric Rogge, Product Management, Oracle Digital Assistant, Oracle and Jesus Brasero Jimenez, Cloud Domain Principal Sales Consultant, Oracle.  In this hands-on lab you will learn best practices for a conversational design using Oracle’s new no-code chatbot dialog design tool for Oracle Digital Assistant.
