The Oracle Forms community recently learned that Michael Ferrante will be moving on from his role as Oracle Forms Product Manager. For years, Michael has been a trusted voice for the community—advocating for Forms customers, answering questions, and helping organizations plan their next steps with confidence. His contributions have shaped the way many of us think about what’s possible with Forms.
Michael’s influence doesn’t end with his role change. The ideas, strategies, and encouragement he has shared over the years remain with us, and it’s up to the community he helped strengthen to carry that forward. Oracle Forms has stood the test of time because of its reliability and power, but also because of the people who continue to invest in it, innovate around it, and push it into the future.
The Forms community has always been strong and resilient. By working together—sharing knowledge, mentoring new talent, and embracing new tools such as modern UIs, cloud integration, automation, and AI—we can keep the momentum going and ensure Forms continues to thrive for years to come.
We thank Michael for everything he has done and invested in and we look ahead with optimism. The Forms community is alive, engaged, and future-focused. Together, we’ll keep the fire burning and continue proving that Forms is not just a legacy technology, but a vital, evolving platform with a strong community at its core.
As part of our commitment to carry on the torch, our Head of Oracle Forms Practice, Jan-Peter Timmermann, has already launched the first in a series of technical blogs—starting with a deep dive on JDK updates for Oracle Forms and Reports. And this is just the beginning. We’ll continue publishing practical, technical content to keep the community informed, empowered, and ready for what’s next.
