Attending ODTUG Kscope 2013 this year? Come and meet us there!

ImSpeakingAs I mentioned in my previous post, Kscope is one of my favorite conferences.  This year’s Kscope13 will take place on June 23–27, in New Orleans, LA.  We will be there to meet up with the leading experts in the Oracle community and to help customers bring their legacy applications into the next century in our Oracle Modernization booth 418 with PITSS.

We will also offer a LIVE TRIAL of an ADF Mobile app, running an Oracle Forms application from the cloud, to install on your own iOS or Android device. You can view the demo here  or join us in a 1-on-1 meetings with AuraPlayer experts. To sign up, please drop us a line .

Come see it live and join us for a drink at Booth 418!

I will also present three sessions at Kscope13:

My first session is aimed at ADF beginners, and I will present it on June 24 (Session 4, 1:45 pm–2:45 pm). It’s titled How Do I Do This in ADF?!?! ADF for Oracle Forms / APEX / PL/SQL Developers.
This session aims to assist developers just beginning development with ADF. We will explore the major features needed to build enterprise applications and explain how to do them using Oracle’s ADF technology. And of course lots of demos as well.

I’m hosting my second session, Do I Need to Migrate / Re-develop My Oracle Forms Applications? (Experts Panel) along with 4 Oracle product managers Michael Ferrante (Forms), Lynn Munsinger (ADF), David Peake (APEX), and Christian Shay (.Net) and overall guru John King on June 25 (Session 10, 3:30 pm–4:30 pm)
This will be an Expert Panel / Open Q&A about if, when, why, and how you should migrate your Oracle Forms. We will represent all major development technologies, including Java, Oracle ADF, Oracle APEX, and .NET as well as new third-party development tools.

Finally, I will address the concerns of those with existing Forms investments thinking of moving forward in my last session, Strategies to Move Forward with Oracle Forms: What Now? What’s Next? on June 26 (Session 14, 1:45 pm–2:45 pm).
This session will explore the predicament of companies with large Forms investments who are facing difficulties moving their legacy systems into the next generation. The session will cover essential information on preserving their Forms investments going forward and adapting them to new cloud and mobile environments.

This year it is amazing to see how much great content there is for Forms users. This of course in addition to the two full tracks of great ADF content that you can check out here.

Other sessions that will be of interest to the Oracle Forms community are:

  • Building Hybrid Oracle Forms and ADF Application – Enabling a Low-Risk Phased Transition presented by Martin Disterheft from PITSS, with Gavin Woods co-presenting
  • Oracle’s Vision, Strategy & Roadmap for Oracle Forms / Protect and Evolve your Investment in Forms presented by Oracle’s Michael Ferrante, co-presented by Andreas Gaede, PITSS
  • Oracle ADF & JDeveloper for Forms Developers presented by John King of King Training Resources
  • How to Migrate an Oracle Forms Application to Oracle ADF presented by Lynn Munsinger, Oracle
