Relive the OOW19 Experience
This blog will bring you up to speed on all of the AuraPlayer team's conference highlights.
Another Oracle OpenWorld has come and gone. And what a time we had! Here we wanted to give you the highlights and a quick summary to keep all our readers in the loop. If your management team would like a more in-depth session on our recommendations post-conference you can contact us at info@auraplayer.com.
This year’s event was full of informative sessions, fun events, and many highlights. The first highlight, was when I first walked into the Moscone Center. As always, IÂ expected to see Oracle Red everywhere. To my surprise, very little red was found as Oracle had completely rebranded. At first, this was quite astonishing, but after the initial shock settled the new brand really grew on me. It was a kinder, gentler Oracle styling called Redwood which even included a swing.Â
Another high point was at our annual customer dinner. We were overjoyed with the number of guests and customers who joined together with Oracle representatives, and our long-time partners. The Oracle team, including the VPs of Digital Assistant and Oracle Integration Clouds, provided insights on the new features and coming attractions for Oracle Digital Assistant and the Oracle Integration Suite. And of course, there were many heated discussions on the future of Oracle Forms. With Michael Ferrante PM for Oracle Forms and even the lead R&D manager for Forms. Cheers to all our guests who made the dinner a huge success, we look forward to seeing you next year 😉
As always, the AuraPlayer team also had the opportunity to present two sessions at OpenWorld. The first session was on modernizing the user experience of Oracle E-Business Suite using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud, click here to download the slides. Our CEO Mia Urman was honored to be invited to speak in collaboration with Shay Shmeltzer, Oracle’s Director of Product Management. The attendees got the full scoop on the development tool, and how to use it to create a better mobile or web user experience for Oracle EBS users. The session also included two customer stories and a live demo on how you can use AuraPlayer to connect to VBCS at home.Â
Our second session was on digital assistants where our CEO, Mia Urman, answered all the questions thrown her way and charmed the audience with her vast knowledge on the design, development, and how to deploy first-class digital assistants. Attendees left knowing step by step recipe to create the perfect bot, click here to download the slides! Since we are chatbot crazed, we need to give a shout out to Opal Alapat (check out her awesome post OOW19 blog). Despite Opal being busy in the action-packed conference she partook in an exclusive interview with us where she shared insights on Kbot, the digital assistant for ODTUG’s Kscope 2019 conference powered by AuraPlayer.

Another first this year was being invited to co-exhibit with the digital experience experts – DXC. We were so happy to see the buzz of people who wanted to learn about our joint solutions and amazing partnership during the conference.Â
And finally, after a great few days, we celebrated together in their SkyBox at the CloudFest. It was a great way to finish off the conference.
That wraps up another amazing OpenWorld conference. All in all, it was an incredible week of talking tech and meeting customers and friends – check out our photo album and tag yourself 🙂 Goodbye San Francisco, we will see you next year! The next stops on our Oracle Forms / EBS modernization world tour will be: in November at the DOAG conference in Germany followed by the UKOUG TechFest in December.Â
