Will you be at Kscope 2024?

Will we be seeing you at

?

Another Ascend has come and gone, but what an incredible event it was this year! It feels like we have finally turned the corner after COVID, with both end users and management being reminded of the value of coming together, live and in person, for networking, learning from others, and sharing experiences of working with Oracle tools.

Beyond all this, it was an added bonus this year to see how Oracle has officially embraced Ascend as their dedicated Oracle E-Business Suite conference. More than one Oracle executive mentioned to me this week that because Oracle CloudWorld’s focus is on cloud, they consider Ascend their E-Business Suite annual event –  and let me tell you, it sure felt like it.

It was incredible to see the sheer number of Oracle senior VP’s and executives who attended, including a full executive briefing day with Cliff Godwin, as well as Q&A’s, strategy and updates sessions, hands-on labs, and much more. This recognition and validation of Ascend by Oracle is a testament to the value and impact of our Ascend community and the endless efforts of the OATUG board and executive team who work tirelessly to make this event what is it year after year.

The AuraPlayer team was especially excited to present with two customers this year, both of whom we had actually met at a previous Ascend conference and who had since purchased our product. And here they are now, one year later, showcasing their successes in an educational session! We felt we had come full circle, and we were proud to be practicing what we preach regarding innovation and automation. Their achievements are a source of inspiration and motivation for all of us, showing what is possible with the right tools, strategies, and mindset.

Our first joint session was with Dean Miller of OFS, where he detailed their mobile warehouse journey and shared their experience of replacing MSCA with a lightweight mobile solution. Our second session was with Florida Fuentes from NFI, showcasing how in only nine months, they’ve already succeeded in building and deploying four automation flows to production, with another seven in the pipeline. Florida also shared insights about NFI’s RPA strategy, including training end users to create their own bots to plug into their existing framework, as well as other tips and best practices to ensure ROI. We are proud of both OFS and NFI for their incredible successes and look forward to seeing their continued achievements.

In addition, we were thrilled to spend time on-site with our newest partner, Applied OLAP.  We were excited to announce our collaboration at the event, a new feature which allows end users to seamlessly integrate data from EBS Oracle Forms and Oracle Cloud directly into Dodeca using AuraPlayer’s services. It’s an exciting development that combines the best of both worlds, offering Dodeca’s user-friendly spreadsheet environment now with full access to mission-critical back-office information.

We loved all our conversations with partners, colleagues, and Oracle ACEs, and were privileged to have Nadia Benjedou attend our company dinner and join in the discussions with our existing customers about EBS’s bright future and all the innovations planned for Applications Unlimited.

So, all in all, it was a busy week full of new insights and great memories, and we look forward to everything that Ascend 2025 has in store!
